Introduction to CLESI
The Centre for Climate and Ecosystems for Social Innovations (CLESI) has been a beacon of hope and innovation in the Mount Elgon region of Eastern Uganda since its inception in 2006. Originally founded as the Eco Development Foundation (ECODEF), CLESI has evolved into a Community-Based Organization dedicated to addressing the challenges posed by climate change and environmental degradation.

- Linking to Government Services: Helping communities connect with government authorities to improve access to essential services and resources.
Success Stories and Examples
Here are a few examples of our successful initiatives:
- Climate-Smart Farming: In Bulambuli District, farmers trained in climate-smart agricultural practices reported a 30% increase in crop yields.
- Women’s Empowerment Programs: In Kapchorwa, our initiatives provided over 500 women with skills in sustainable agribusiness, leading to increased household incomes.
